December 2005:
We made a grant of $25,000 to the California Climate Action Registry, a grant of $30,000 to Redefining Progress for their project entitled "Environmental Justice and Climate Change Initiative", and a grant of $20,000 to Western Resource Advocates for their "Western Utilities Emissions Reduction Project". The Compton Foundation Board meets twice a year, in June and in December. We do not generally receive reports on the accomplishments of our grants until 13 months after they are awarded. Therefore, we will be able to report results by March of 2007.
